A woman has been taken to hospital with whiplash injuries after being involved in a head-on collision in Somerset. She was in one of two cars which crashed on the A303 westbound between the South Petherton and Southfields Roundabouts on Saturday morning. It is thought one of the vehicles crossed to the wrong side of the road
Darlington manager Dave Penney will give striker Liam Hatch sufficient time to recover from the neck injury he suffered at Droylsden on Tuesday. Hatch, 26, was cleared of a broken neck by X-ray on the night of the incident and Penney is keen to ensure the on-loan player makes a full recovery. “We can count him out of Saturday and Tuesday so we’ll look to early December to get him back,” he told BBC Tees
The number of claims for whiplash injuries following road accidents is soaring, say British insurance firms. The Association of British Insurers (ABI) says that its members receive almost 1,200 claims of this type every day, worth £2bn a year.
